Our Babe’s Chicken Dinner House in Cedar Hill opened on June 8, 2009.
The Cedar Hill location is a remodel of the Cedar Hill City Hall. It started out as the fire station in 1962 with 3 engine bays. In 1987 the fire station operations relocated and the building began its second life as City Hall.
The southwest corner of the building is a monument we built to honor the building’s previous service. A series of radio towers that were on the building when we began construction once transmitted for police and fire operations for many years, and we kept them in their original glory as a monument.
There is a private room at the front of the dining room dedicated to our good friend and pillar of the community Steve Phillips. He joined the Lord in 2010.
We have some additional tidbits to share when you’re sittin’ in the dining room – just ask to see our Babe’s Facts while you’re finishing up your salad.
